This weekend I am at a scrapbooking retreat with a bunch of my scrappy friends!  I made these little treats for them.....chocolate covered rice crispy squares!  They are yummy, I sampled them while I was making them ;)  And as much fun as they were to make, i figured they needed a little decorating too.

Hope you have a great weekend!

I am off to retreat!

I am heading off today for a girls scrappy weekend with Scrapmuch? for their first semi annual retreat!  I am super excited, looking forward to the break from routine, and I know it will be a good time!

In the meantime, the ladies at the retreat with me will get  a preview of my December designs for the store so I thought I'd leave you with a sneak peak.......

Hope you have a great weekend!

Easy Peasy!

Today I placed my first order with ScrapMuch? , sorry make that ONLINE order (seeing as they are friends I've just grabbed what I need when I see them) and let me tell you the site was easy to navigate, straight forward and relatively quick (currently I only have yucky old dial up, boo!).  Sorry, I digress!  Anyway, you should give it a try, I was so pleased with how easy my order went through and the follow up emails I received (one with a receipt!) that I wanted to place another order right away!  LOVE, love , love online shopping!

Happy Birthday, Victoria!

another quickie post, tho the actual card did take me a while ;)  - this is for my friend Victoria, her birthday is today (don't scroll down Victoria if you don't want to see it before I give it to you!). this was my first attempt at trying to leave part of an image on the outside of a spellbinders die when cutting,, not the best work, but i did learn something  for next time :) - i used close to my heart papers and stamps, misc. ribbon and cork, bazzill flowers, and copics

i really like the effect on the balloons, after i coloured them with copics i added some liquid glass

Bubby's Embellies!     ... a new crafting venture for me.  I have enjoyed crocheting for several years  now, but recently I have been working on creating embellishments to use for scrapbooking and cardmaking.  Several months ago I created some crocheted flowers for my scrappy friends.  This summer and fall, i have crocheted my little heart out while watching Timmy at football practice.   I am using 100% cotton and bamboo fibres, so they feel really good to the touch, and are renewable products.

I have created several types using patterns I have found online and some I created myself.  I also created a logo, chose a name that has sentimental meaning to me (Bubby was my littlest man's nickname when he was a babe), and now they are for sale at Scrapmuch? ! (Thanks ladies for taking a chance on me!)

This is my logo....

to help launch this little venture, i donated little single packs of my flowers to the Echo Place School fundraiser crop and the Scrapmuch? first semi-annual retreat, to be included in the lootbags at both venues.    Here is a picture...

These small flowers are available in two packs, in your choice of 4 colours (blush, warm blue, wasabi and twig).

Then i decided i needed some bigger flowers, that's where these two-coloured 7 petal flowers came in.  They are available in wasabi/natural and twig/natural., and sold in single packs.

feeling sappy one day, i thought hearts were in order, these are sold in single packs in red (of course!), this is definitely the most challenging pattern, but totally worth it (i personally can't wait to try these on a layout!)

with the cooler weather here, and christmas (yes, i said it) around the corner, snowflakes and poinsettias came to mind.  the white snowflakes are sold in two packs and red poinsettias in single packs.

thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Help, all my card making stuff is packed.....

What's a Mom to do when her little man wants to give his teacher a good-bye card to go with the flowers he picked and all the scrappy stuff is packed.  This is the dilemma I faced two nights before our move date and the night before his last day at the old school.  Well, after spinning in circles around the kitchen looking for inspiration, I found a balloon and a Sharpie.  Aha! Just the ticket, this little man spilled out his heart to the teacher he loves, on a balloon with that Sharpie.  He is so very sweet.  Um, yeah, don't ask why the balloons weren't packed, he he he!
